Level 4: A 95 kms trail to Ramadevarabetta near Ramanagara, famous as the shooting spot of Legendary Hindi movie – Sholay.
Lights, Camera, Action…those are the words that could echo in your ears as you swerve through this trail, for you get to witness a bit of showbiz and history when you cross through Ramanagara, the famous shooting spot of the Legendary bollywood movie Sholay. The rocks and boulders of this hill have played host to the most notorious of the villains – Gabbar and his henchmen Samba, Kaalia and Co. If you are lucky, you might still get to witness some movie shooting in progress, since the charm of this place hasn’t died out yet.
This is a level 4 trail with a total cycling distance of 90 kms, starting from Ramohalli – Dodda Alada Mara – Manchanabele dam – Savandurga forest and reach the hill top of Ramadevarabetta and back to the starting point. There are multiple scenic aspects such as the dam, forest, rocks & boulders and a hilltop view that will enthrall you all through. There are multiple temples enroute some dating centuries back that definitely will engross and intrigue you.
While the elevation predominantly doesn’t vary more than 500 feet from the lowest to the highest point, what makes it arduous is the fact that there are multiple ascent and descent throughout this trail. Over 75% of the roads are tarmac while the rest is torn tarmac or mud roads suited perfectly for an MTB trail. There are ample breaks provided since this is a Level 4 trail fitted into a single day.

This trail (Cycling to Ramadevarabetta) is a Level 3 cycling trek covering an approx 90 kms of cycling distance with a cost of Rs. 650/- (Includes: Breakfast, Refreshments, Lunch, Mechanic Support, Support Vehicle, Mentor Cyclist & Medical Support) (if any).
